Panic in Google .. Samsung plans to use Bing as the default search engine on Galaxy phones

Google may be about to lose out on an agreement that makes more than $3 billion a year behind it, and it looks like everything will depend on how its innovations relate to AI in the next Google I advance.

The news reached Google's offices in March of this year and, according to the source, caused panic among members of the executive board and company employees. Because according to internal messages, the benefits obtained as a result of using Google as the default search engine in Samsung Galaxy series devices are about $ 3,000 million per year that you can lose.

At the moment, Samsung has not made a final decision to switch to using Bing as the default search engine on Galaxy devices, but it will seriously consider it.

Since the introduction of Bing Chat into Microsoft's search engine, the service has broken all company records, reaching more than 100 million daily users for the first time. Samsung has already had a close relationship with Microsoft for years, and many of Microsoft's services come pre-installed on Galaxy devices, so integrating the new version of Bing on Samsung phones seems like the next logical step.

It will be necessary to see, of course, how Samsung decides to make the change, because like the rest of the manufacturers of Android devices, the South Korean giant is obliged to give the user different options when choosing the default search engine for your device.

In the face of disastrous news, Google would have decided to accelerate the development of its various initiatives aimed at competing with services such as Bing Chat or ChatGPT. These include an improved search engine powered by artificial intelligence models, a chatbot integrated into Google Chrome or an image generator available in Google Image Search, among other novelties that are likely to be introduced during the upcoming Google I.
